This piece is one of a pair. I found a porcelain married couple (Georgian style) in my usual charity shop that i gather materials. I purchased the two and continued with my recent beheading activities. This is the second piece i completed, and is probably my favourite.
Once again i had to use the dreaded material of glue to attach the two parts. The rest of the sculpture was simply edited with a hammer and sanding.

Mobile Shade
Following the concept of "Beheading" I created this hybrid of lampshade and umbrella. It was a simple sculpture to construct but i came across many complications, particularly with the glue...i don't like glue. Nevertheless i think its turned out pretty nicely. I love the traditional, domestic colours, i struck lucky with the materials i found.

Leaky Head
This term I've been looking at the concept of beheading, attempting to use this interaction to create metaphorical and conceptual meanings. This is one of my larger sculptures employing the technique. Using drills, polyfiller and a hammer i chipped away the original head from the busts shoulders and replaced it with this domestic tap.
